Valentina Duvnjak from Donji Malovan in Kupres (Bosnia and Herzegovina), returned to her native village from Banja Luka. She is unusual in that, she rebuilt her demolished house herself because she could not receive donations. She was building, plastering, renovating the roof structure. It was the hardest thing for her to build a chimney, but she also succeeded. The former journalist only misses the newsroom and has everything else. We found her planting potatoes with her mother. She says her hoe is her gym. She produces organic food and is in good health. She has all kinds of vegetables in her garden and feels much better in the countryside where she spends a stress-free life in the peace, quiet, beauty of the landscape. One winter, she was even covered in snow for more than twenty days, and she was usually accompanied by bears that passed by the house as if they were domiciled. Take a look at an unusual story from Kupres (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in which the main character is a girl, a former journalist.
